To make a printable PDF from photos, decide the final page size, prepare correctly oriented and sufficiently large images, select them in page order, create the PDF locally, and inspect the result. Images to PDF assembles pages but does not guarantee printer-ready sizing, margins, bleed, or color.

Start with the physical print goal
Choose the intended paper or trim size before changing the images. A Letter page is 8.5 × 11 inches, while A4 is a different proportion. Pixel needs follow both the physical size and the target DPI. For example, 8.5 × 11 inches at 300 DPI is mathematically 2550 × 3300 pixels.
A camera metadata field that says 300 DPI does not by itself make a photo suitable. What matters for this calculation is the actual pixel width and height divided by the requested print width and height. Check representative images with the DPI / Print Checker instead of relying on metadata labels.
- Write down the final width and height in inches.
- Choose a target such as 300, 240, or 150 DPI based on the real production requirement.
- Confirm that every important photo has enough pixels at that size.
Prepare orientation, crop, and consistency
Rotate every image into its intended reading direction. Crop unwanted edges and decide whether portrait and landscape photos can coexist. The assembler does not impose one uniform paper frame, so mixed proportions can create visibly different page shapes in the PDF.
Keep a master copy before editing. Repeated saving to JPG can introduce additional compression. When text, diagrams, or line art are important, a clean PNG source can avoid another lossy save before PDF assembly, although the final print still depends on the whole production path.
- Duplicate or back up the originals.
- Rotate and crop each working copy.
- Use consistent color and brightness decisions when the pages belong to one set.
Build the PDF in page order
Rename the working files with padded numbers so their order is obvious. Select the images in the exact sequence you need. The current tool uses selection order and provides no separate rearrangement step. If order is wrong, correct the source sequence and create the PDF again.
Run the tool and download the result before closing the tab. The selected images are processed in browser memory and the PDF is offered as a local download. The original photos are not modified.

Review the PDF as a print file
Open the output and inspect page count, sequence, rotation, clipping, and sharpness. Zooming far beyond the intended print scale can make any raster image look rough, so also review at an approximate physical size or make a sample print at 100% scale.
For commercial production, compare the PDF with the current printer specification. Images to PDF does not add bleed, safe margins, crop marks, embedded output profiles, or a chosen trim-box structure. Use a page-layout application when those controls are required.
