What to know before you start
Can I extract words from a scanned PDF?
A text layer is required. Pages without one are identified. This preview does not include OCR.
Does crop erase private information?
No. Crop changes the visible area. Hidden content can remain in the file. Do not use it to remove sensitive information.
Are encrypted, form or signed PDFs supported?
They are excluded from this editing preview. The existing unreleased Viewer can open a PDF with a known password; password removal has not been added.
Is PDF compression included?
Not yet. A simple resave is not presented as compression.
