Practical advice

Sharing document pages

Use PNG when a site expects an image rather than a PDF. Check small text after rendering.

Practical advice

Previews and content images

Choose only as much resolution as the display needs; larger images increase download size.

Practical advice

Reviewing print pages

Inspect linework and page edges, but do not assume a render scale guarantees a particular physical print DPI.

Practical advice

Continuing in an image editor

The output is a flat image. Text selection, links, forms, and PDF layers are not retained as interactive objects.

Scope and limitations

Know what this tool does and does not do

1Rendering follows the PDF’s page dimensions and chosen scale.

2A damaged, encrypted, or unsupported PDF may not render.

3Large pages are processed sequentially; keep the tab open and use a desktop for demanding files.

4Higher detail increases pixel count, memory use, and download size.

Before you finish

Open the downloaded result and check it

Keep your originals until the new files meet your needs.

  • 3× rendering: More output pixels, with larger files and higher memory use
  • Single page: Download the rendered image
  • Multiple pages: Download page images together as a ZIP
Help and troubleshooting

Frequently asked questions

Should I start with 2× or 3×?

Start with 2× and inspect the result. Use 3× only when you need the extra pixels.

Will the original PDF become sharper?

No. PNG rendering does not restore detail missing from embedded low-resolution images.

Why is a multi-page result a ZIP?

A ZIP keeps every numbered PNG together in the original page order.
